Do you want to protect yourself and your family from the dangerous effects of Ragweed (Ambrosia)?
The most important reason for quality data entry is the alarming spread of Ragweed across Europe. Your markers on the map serve as signals to activate competent municipal services and support the implementation of ragweed control programs in accordance with EU regulations on invasive species management.
Mark your home on the map to find like-minded people in your area. Unite with neighbors for joint fight against ragweed and coordination of actions
Confirmed ragweed growth sites discovered by community members. These areas require urgent cleaning and constant monitoring
Areas successfully cleared of ragweed by local community efforts. Thanks to volunteers' efforts, these zones are now safe for allergy sufferers
Officially treated areas by municipal and government services. Professional treatment guarantees long-term results
TOGETHER WE ARE STRONGER! Blue markers help create a network of caring neighbors in your area. By placing your marker, you: 🏠 SHOW YOUR POSITION • Let neighbors know you're ready for joint action • Create a coordination point for your neighborhood • Help others find support close to home 🤝 FIND LIKE-MINDED PEOPLE • Connect through social media for planning • Unite efforts in fighting ragweed • Share experience and knowledge 📍 PROTECT IMPORTANT PLACES • Home where your family lives • Your children's school or kindergarten • Work and recreation areas • Your daily walking routes 🗓️ ORGANIZE JOINT ACTIVITIES • Plan regular territory inspections • Coordinate clearing of found hotspots • Create neighborhood groups in messengers • Share tools and responsibilities 💡 The more blue markers in the area, the more effective the fight against ragweed!
YOUR MARKER = CALL TO ACTION!
Every red marker is sent to volunteers, municipal services and government statistics. The more accurate the information, the faster the area will be cleared! 📍 WHERE IS RAGWEED FOUND? • Specify exact address or nearest landmarks • Describe the type of area (vacant lot, roadside, park) • Note proximity to social facilities 📷 HOW TO PHOTOGRAPH? • Take 2-3 photos from different angles • Show scale of infestation (include landmarks for reference) • Capture both overview and close-up shots of plants 📏 WHAT IS THE SCALE OF THE PROBLEM? • Estimate the area size (in steps or meters) • Indicate number of plants (isolated/many/dense thickets) • Note growth stage (young/mature/flowering) 💡 Especially important to mark ragweed near kindergartens, schools, hospitals and recreational areas!
When a marker status changes, the date automatically appears, showing when the area was last cleared. This helps monitor each contaminated area effectively.
"Infested" and "Cleared" are two statuses that can be changed based on the actual condition of the area. Only the marker owner can change the status.
You can share "Red markers" on social media or send them to relevant municipal services, environmental agencies, or local authorities responsible for invasive species management in your area.
Remember! After treating an area, change the marker status to Cleared ("Green marker") to maintain accurate records and plan timely follow-up treatments.
